The Urumea is more than just flowing water. Along its banks, social life bustles in the neighbourhoods it flows through, making the river a neighbour in its own right that revitalises its surroundings and gives them a distinctive character. Through a participatory process, we have compiled anecdotes, stories and shared experiences relating to our river. The publication “Emotional Atlas of the Urumea” is the result of this intensive collective effort, which has enabled us to identify ten emotional tributaries linking the river and the community. The initiative culminates in an exhibition project, symbolising the return of all the shared information and efforts to the community.
